A message from Liz Soltero
Dear Sunnyside Community,
After four extraordinary years, I have made the personal decision to step down as CEO of Sunnyside Foundation. My final day will be September 30, and I will continue to be here through Gives Week to help ensure a smooth transition.
This was not an easy decision, and it was one I made after careful reflection and for deeply personal reasons. I am grateful to leave the Foundation in a strong position, with an incredible team and a clear path forward.
While my chapter is coming to an end, the Foundation's story is only beginning its next one, because this Foundation has always belonged to the people who believe in it.
Thank you for your trust, your generosity, and your partnership.

A true champion of our community, Liz has taken the Foundation to a whole new level, amplifying our impact through every educational program, community support initiative, and partnership across Tucson’s Southside.

Thanks to her hard work, imagination, collaborative spirit, and kindness, the Foundation is financially thriving and well-positioned to continue investing in what matters most to us: our students, families, and barrios in Tucson’s Southside community.

The Board and I are working together on a thoughtful transition plan, and our dedicated team remains focused on what matters most: continuing to advance our mission.
Our commitment to the community we love and serve remains our priority and guiding principle in everything we do.
