Technology Program
The Sunnyside Foundation, working with the Sunnyside Unified School District, supports programs that increase students’ access to technology. Currently all support is focused on the District’s Digital Advantage Program, part of Project Graduation. The District will use laptop computers as an incentive to decrease dropouts and increase the district’s graduation rate.
This school year, SUSD will give a laptop to every incoming ninth-grade student this year who achieves the Four A’s at the end of the first semester.
- • Academics: 2.5 or higher grade point average
- • Attendance: 95% or better attendance rate — no more than four excused absences, no unexcused, and must attend on the first day of school
- • Activity: regular participation in a school-sponsored extracurricular activity
- • Attitude: no out-of-school suspensions
